" The Desert Botanical Garden purchased the turnstiles during our extensive renovation project three years ago that included the admissions area. 
We have two separate ticket booths with two cashiers each.  The problem arose with our turnstiles with people wanting to return to our gift shop prior to their visit, but after they had paid admission.  We went ahead and opened pass through gates and the handicap gate, leaving them wide open during regular business hours.  Most of our visitors would take the path of least resistance and we werent using the counting ability of the turnstiles for any data purposes.  The turnstiles are stainless steel and are in perfect condition with very little wear.  The accompanying stainless steel handicap gate has a self-closing solenoid that locks the gate in the closed position and is also in excellent, like-new condition."
